When a Kuwaiti woman give birth (be it boy or girl) her relatives, friends, and neighbors visit her to congratulate her and to present her with gifts. While visiting friends and relatives in hospital, they take flowers, chocolates and fruits and for the new born they gift baby items and flowers. That’s why one can find lot of flower bouquets and chocolate shops in front of the hospital rooms where Kuwaiti woman stay.
They gift pink items if its a girl and blue items if its a boy....I found the concept very sweet. Even in hospitals they use blue cloths for a new born by and pink cloths for a girl.
