Jordan is a touristic place, and lot of hotels are available from low budget to 5star-hotels. But from our experience of Egypt, we knew we cannot blindly believe our agents. So whenever the agents suggested any hotel in Jordan, I checked tripadvisor(http://www.tripadvisor.com/) where you will get reviews from real visitors and travelers. So I would ask them to change the hotel.
Anyway after deciding to go with "Jordan Travel Agency", I asked Mr Hani to provide me with the hotel names. It was Eid time and it was last minute booking. He had a hard time finding good hotels but he promised us the following............
Amman.....Imperial Palace
A quite hotel at a posh residential locality. Our room was rather big, with all facilities of a 4-star hotel. The bed sheets, towels, bathroom was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast too was v.good with lot of options. We had a 1night stay and it was pleasant. But to go to any touristic place you have to take a taxi(readily available). It will cost you 3 to 4 Jordanian Dinar to go to any tourist place or main shopping area from the hotel. That's what we did.We took a taxi, went to the main area, explored it and had dinner in a traditional Jordanian Restaurant.
Petra.... Guest-house
One of the best hotels we stayed in Jordan. Its greatest positive point is that it's the closest hotel to the gate of Petra and managed by the Crown Plaza,Very friendly staff, clean, good breakfast and there can be no better hotel when it comes to location.
Aqaba....Captain
There are better 4-star hotels then 'Captian" in Aqaba. At first Mr Hani suggested "Aqaba Gulf". But we had no option as all hotels were booked. The location is excellent, breakfast too was excellent, room was spacious but furniture and bathroom was old fashioned. They need to renovate it. Also the electric kettle with coffee and tea bags was missing which is needed and should be part of any 4-star room service.
Dead Sea Spa Resort
We enjoyed our stay....it was memorable. There are so many facilities that you can spend the entire week in this resort.Services are excellent.
Whatever Mr Hani promised us, he delivered. We were happy with the hotels. It was last minute booking( Nov 2nd evening it was confirmed and we flew on Nov 5th 2011 .
