The Pediatrics Department of Ahmadi Hospital is renovated. Personally I don't think it was needed, but here they renovate it after 2-3 years even if it is not in a bad condition. What to say? These are characteristics of a rich country, which we can't think of in India.
I had to visit Ahmadi Hospital last Thursday and the renovation has been completed. Infact for the last few days/ months, had been making frequent visits to the hospital. When I first saw the renovation work, it made me think "is it necessary"?? With the renovation over, it looks completely different. New floor tiles, paint and most importantly the play room of the pediatrics department has got a complete make-over. All new set of toys, mats, cars etc are there for the kids though the old set of joys were perfectly in good condition. Mehr enjoyed when we were waiting for our turn to see the doctor.

Hi, Nice informative blog u hav got goin... We are new to kuwait..jus landed 2 months back. I was searching for some info when I stumbled upon ur blog!
ReplyDeleteIf possible I wud ask a ton of Questions abt tis place!!!!!!!
I hav a 1.5 yr old kid, and I was wondering if I shud get her vaccines in the fahaheel clinic or is it okay to go to a hospital?? Coz when we had her polio in fahaheel clinic, tey wer kind of very strict that tey will only follow their own schedule, but we hav our kid following korean schedule and she wud me missing some vaccines if its as per kuwait. So if it posible to get her vaccines in a govt hospital or pvt one if need be??
Oh and one more Q, is it possible to do earpiercing in kuwait for toddler??
Thanx San.
ReplyDeleteFor kids born in Kuwait, vaccination is done in the hospital they are born or in any govt. hospital/clinic.But I have seen for people who have their kids born in India, they go to private hospitals.Govnt. clinics are strict as they follow the kuwait vaccination procedures. You will be having a dr for your kid(someone you will be visiting).I think he/she will be of help.
My daughter is born here in Ahmadi hospital, so i take her to ahmadi hospital for vaccination.
Even i want to do ear piercing for my daughter but is not having enough courage to do so here.A friend of mine had a horrible experience here when she went for ear piercing in a private hospital for her daughter.Planing to do it in India.
You too have a b'ful blog.
Thanks Parimita! We are still looking at where to find a good paed here...
ReplyDeletehuh..maybe i shud just wait more for ear piercing..

Thnx.She is 2+, will be 3yrs soon
ReplyDeleteHi Parimita,
ReplyDeleteI have a doubt regarding the vaccine for 18 months. How many injections do tey give fr 18 months? tey gav 2 injections for my kid and 1 polio drops. The nurse said one inj was DTp+hep B. She din say wat the other one was. Do tey give HiB+HepB+DPT in one injection and pneumoccocal in another injection?? Due to my kid's frenzy I was in a hurry and forgot to ask.
Sorry San,have log'd in after days, in fact months. Will have to check, and will let you know soon
