Phoenix Global, the same guys who’ve been bringing you extreme activities like bungee jumping and the paragliding festival are going to be bringing skydiving to Kuwait.
The skydiving will be handled by a Finnish team and will take place from May 22nd to May 27th. The plane will take off from Sheikh Saad Terminal and you’ll land at the Green Island. It’s obviously a tandem jump and the cost is KD180 including photos and videos. Paragliding Festival in Kuwait

If you’ve ever wanted to try powered paragliding this might be the easiest way to do it. Starting from April 24th and lasting for 10 days you will be able to experience paragliding over the Gulf Road accompanied by the most skilled pilots. “Shukran Ya Kuwait” - Live in Concert in Kuwait




For the first time ever in Kuwait live & unplugged Concert 'Shukran Ya Kuwait' with famous singing sensation Benny Dayal and playback singer Shefali Alvares will be held in Kuwait on Friday 2nd May 2014. The event hosted by Apna Bharat Society will be held at American International School, Maidan Hawally- Kuwait from 6:30pm onwards.

After the grand success of "Jai Ho - Sukhwinder Singh Live In Concert" to support Apnalaya Mumbai, Apna Bharat Society are again ready to contribute their efforts. The event is organized as a token of appreciation to the great country Kuwait which has given shelter, chance to earn daily bread and better future to many nationalities, organizers told.
The live in concert features singing sensation Benny Dayal, volatile and passionate Shefali and Kuwait's own Mubarak Al Rashed Al Aazmi. Kerala based Benny who was born and raised in Abu Dhabi has carved a place for himself on the glittering Bollywood scene with tracks like Batamiz Dil from Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani, Kaise Mujhe Tum from Ghajini, Pappu Can’t Dance Saala from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa and recently ABCD from Yaarian. 
A versatile singer he has a number of awards to his credit. He sings in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and has worked with musical greats like A R Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Salim-Sulaiman, Vishal Shekhar, Pritam and Himesh Reshammiya. 

The other attraction of the event will be Hindi oldies by Kuwait's Kishore Kumar fame Mubarak Al Rashed Al Aazmi. Born in a Kuwaiti family, Mubarak is a young man gifted with an extraordinary talent. He sings, but unlike other Arabs he sings in Hindi in an almost perfect diction with an almost perfect intonation. He love to sing songs of the legendary Kishore Kumar which made him popular as "Kuwait's Kishore Kumar". 
The evening will also introduce the super Dancing Divas kids, local & real talents from Kuwait They will be performing on different- different dance forms.

Stage set for Shaastrotsav - Festival of Science in Kuwait

Preparations are in final stages of Shaastrotsav - Festival of Science which will be held on Friday, 25th April 2014 at Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS).

As in the previous years, Indian Schools and many professional organizations confirmed their participation in the day long events of Festival of Science, informed the organizers in a press meet held here.

Science Workshop by Mr. Ashok Rupner, Senior Scientific Staff of Inter - University Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics - Pune will be a main attraction of Shaastrotsav 2014. Ashok Rupner's workshop will stimulate interest in science through simple methods. He has conducted over 1,200 science activity workshops for children, teachers and parents. For four years in a row Mr Ashok Rupner has won the most distinguished workshop Award at the Sasol - SciFest, Grahamstown, South Africa.

Rubik's cube solving contest will give opportunity for students in Kuwait to show their speed and ability in solving Rubik's cube solving. Ever since Shaastrotsav introduced this as a competition event in Kuwait for the first time, more and more children are attracted towards Rubik's cube solving which requires mathematical ability, the organizers said.

Other attractions of Shaastrotsav include science & technology exhibition and computer animation contest. “Due to the high level of interest by students, Shaastrotsav will give opportunity to more contestants in open category of science & technology exhibition than the previous years, in addition to inter - school contests”, organizers said.

Science enthusiasts in Kuwait consider Shaastrotsav - Festival of Science as a premier science event for students, teachers, professionals and general public. Shaastrotsav will start at 10:00 AM on 25th April and entry is unrestricted to all.

Cabinet granted expatriates permission to own property in Kuwait

The Cabinet has granted expatriates permission to own property in Kuwait, including apartments, houses and lands, during its weekly meeting Monday. According to report in local media, foreigners are still required to meet several conditions in order to register property under their ownership, including a clean criminal record and a history of good behavior, source of income certificates as well as a minimum salary cap.

The Interior Ministry’s approval is also required to purchase properties, the report reads. It does not explain however whether the decision has gone into effect immediately or still requires the parliament’s approval.
