Online facility for the renewal of residence visa will be launched by May 20th, local daily Arab Times reported quoting Director of Automation system at the Ministry of social affairs and labor Abdulhakim Al Shaban. This will eliminate the necessity to visit labor department, daily added.
Abdulhakim Al Shaban declared that the online process is due to start from May 20th stressing that the initiative is aimed at making the residence visa renewal process easier for employers and their employees as well as eradicate long queues and delays during visa process, daily added.
Daily also added that the process will be implemented first for residence visa renewals in companies and institutions after which it will be implemented for issuance of work permit for new comers in Kuwait or when transferring commercial visa to work permit . The third and fourth phases of implementations are final cancelation of visa when exiting Kuwait and other visa transfer respective.
